The RTP-6 as well as the RTP-4 and RTP-2 are milled out of solid blocks of aluminum.They implement Green carborundum, Tourmaline powder and natural quartz powder to eliminate noise and static electricity passively. No current limiting series filters to muck up the sound. The Green carborundum absorbs electromagnetic noise, the Tourmaline powder is a naturally negatively ionized substance that will absorb positively ionized, or charged, elements, i.e. static eletcricity. This is the same material used in Acoustic Revive's RIO-5 negative ion generator for treating CD's. The quartz powder, well I cant really translate what the Acoustic Revive web site says about it without sounding really strange.
