Kemp Electronics SR Plug

"...I could easily hear greater three-dimensionality placing a single Kemp SR plug directly center, between my Sunny loudspeakers. Yes, all the accolades formerly applied to the RR-77s were applicable to the SR plug. A greater sense of air and bloom seemed to surround instruments. The acoustic space of each recording also made itself more apparent making the leap of faith of "being transported to the recording" that much more believable. I finally understood the importance of having a Schumann device centered between my loudspeakers and could easily appreciate its thin wire application. ..." - Clement Perry, StereoTimes
"...Ultimately, placing two more Kemp SR Plugs on my front listening wall, imparted a wider soundstage with greater three-dimensionality - not to mention a sweeter and more delicate sound. Dynamic shadings gained wider bandwidth while macro and micro details became increasingly more obvious. Overall, I would have to say the sound became cleaner and thus clearer giving the music a greater sense of freedom and for me, a far more musically engaging sound..." - Dennis Parham, Full review
The Schumann Resonance Plug from Kemp Electronics consists of a wall-wart type plug with an 8 foot antenna, and an adjustable intensity level. It is a totally passive device, which means you do not have to turn your audio system off when removing or installing the SR plug (great for A/B testing). The knob located at the bottom of the SR Plug adjusts the intensity of the 7.83 Hz generated. It is said that at the maximum setting, fundamental overtones of the 7.83 Hz frequency are generated as well. Kemp Electronics recommends the middle setting as a good start.
- Shunt device, no dynamic restriction possible
- Generates a new Schumann resonance
- Adjustable intensity
levels ,at maximum level, Schumann resonance overtones are also generated
- 8 ft. (2,5 m) wire antenna, for optimum results without having to place the unit itself on a shelf
- Multiple SR Plugs intensify the effect
What is the Schumann Resonance?
German Physicist Otto Schuman discovered in 1952 that the space between the earth's surface and the ionosphere acted as a giant electromagnetic resonant cavity. The fundamental (main) frequency of this cavity was 7.83 Hz. This is the naturally occuring electromagnetic resonance frequency of the earth, so to speak. There are theories that say living beings are sensitive to this resonant frequency
There is no question that the amount of electromagnetic and radio frequency "pollution" is higher today than ever. Computers, cell phones, wireless networks and everything else electrical are generating pollution that in theory is drowning out the earth's natural resonance. The Kemp Electronics SR Plug regenerates this Schumann Resonance Frequency when plugged in to any wall receptacle. This is said to help counteract the negative effects of EM pollution present in the immediate environment.
"...Taking Ron Kemp's advice, I got an el-cheapo power strip and, one at a time, very carefully added a total of four SR plugs into the mix. Working in tandem with four 8-foot long antennas draped over my jazz art located center between my loudspeakers I found their cumulative effects rather startling. I found that increasing the signal strength beyond the 12:00 point (approximately half power) robbed the music of important harmonics and overtones which meant I had to double check the intensity knobs were kept at the mid level mark (Kemp states the intensity knob differs according to room size hence the larger the room the more intensity one may need)..." Where to install the Kemp Electronics SR Plug
The SR Plug works best when placed on the wall directly behind and in between your loudspeakers. Multiple units are said to improve performance.
