The Slim Devices Squeezebox is the affordable way to deliver music into every room of your home. It plays a wide variety of digital music files, including uncompressed and lossless formats—across a true 802.11g wireless network connection.
Is this the solution for me? We recommend the Slim Devices Squeezebox for audiophiles who are comfortable with PC wireless and wired networking (or know someone who is). The Squeezebox requires a PC (preferably with a spacious hard drive) and networking solution. It also requires the user to copy their music collection onto the PC's hard drive in the format of their choice (WMA, FLAC, MP3, etc.). The advantage of this solution is your music is stored in one location, and can be backed up easily. If you sell or upgrade your Squeezebox, you still have your music files. The disadvantage is it takes a little more time in setting up, and a few more steps to copy your music to hard disk. For those willing to go the extra mile, the results are very rewarding.
Quality 2 channel audio from your PC The Slim Devices Squeezebox™ brings your entire music collection to you at the touch of a button. You can now store all of your music in lossless or uncompressed format on your PC, and play it over your audio system through the Squeezebox™ with superb audio quality.
The Squeezebox will revolutionize the way you listen by freeing you and your music. Its convenient and stylish form makes it ideal for placing in any room, whether connected to an existing hifi system or simply powered speakers. By utilizing true 802.11g Wi-Fi networking and dual internal antennas, your listening is no longer restricted by cables and connectors.
The Squeezebox offers you the widest choice of listening options beyond your digital media collection. The product includes a directory of thousands of internet radio stations and features Pandora's personalized music service and Rhapsody's 2 million song collection. All internet music streaming services are even available when your computer is turned off.
