The new PPC (Pure Power Center) will appeal to all audiophiles that insist on a straight, high-current connection to the wall with no series or parallel devices installed to affect the phase or power factor of the AC mains. It is the result of our customers demand for more AC outlets for larger home theater systems or remote equipment such as mono block amps or a projector that is some distance from the rest of the system. They wanted a way to get the benefits of clean balanced AC power (from their BP Isolator) to more equipment without compromising the connection with an ordinary power extension strip. The PPC can be ordered with the same outlets as their BP Isolator--keeping the quality and sonic signature the same. While there are a few audiophile quality power strips available, we wanted to offer a unit that had matching outlets for our BP Isolators and offered exceptional value (like the rest of our line) to new customers. As you will see the PPC fits the need and even surpasses the competition in options and performance. Nothing is overlooked.
Construction: 15A or 20A--your choice
The chassis is 18x3.75x3, has 3 duplex AC outlets (6 total) and an IEC inlet, that's it--no power switch, fuse, surge protection, filter capacitors or flashing lights. So what-- nothing new there--well maybe. Shielding is extremely important for best performance in audio circuits and power supplies--the same holds true for the AC supply as well. OK, most high-end audio power strips have either a steel or aluminum chassis that provide some semblance of shielding. There are a couple high dollar power strips ($1000+) that use a brass chassis, which is better due to the moderate copper content in the brass lowering the impedance path to shunt RF noise to ground. So, why not go all the way? The PPC chassis is pure copper providing the lowest impedance path to ground by an order of magnitude—resulting in the highest attenuation of RF noise possible, bar none. All hardware is non-magnetic and tabs with holes are provided for wall or ceiling mounting. Now coated with an extremely durable copper pebble finish.
The IEC inlet is the finest available. A 15A style from Furutech with your choice of either direct gold or silver/rhodium plated pins. Also, a 20A style Hubbell IEC inlet is available (at no extra charge) for very high current set-ups. Since the Hubbell, FIM and Furutech are all 20A rated outlets, a fully 20A rated PPC is created.

The outlets are star wired (each duplex outlet has its own set of wires that return to the AC input) with our heavy gauge, finely stranded OFC Litz wire (oxygen free copper). Our Litz wire improves dynamics and speed over any other design. Hand silver soldered of course. Hearing is believing.

BPT recommends using Their $399 L-10 finely stranded 10 gauge OFC Litz wire power cord for matching sonics. This cord uses the high resolution Oyaide AC plug and IEC. It is also available with the slightly warmer sounding FIM plugs.
Tip:
If your PPC is being plugged straight into a wall AC outlet, we highly recommend you use an outlet of matching quality and sonics. Warning, the AC circuit must be turned off at the mains panel and tested for no voltage before attempting wall receptacle removal.
