Acoustic Revive Rio-5II Negative Ion Generator
Acoustic Revive RIO-5 Negative Ion Generator
"..Here’s what I can say: The Acoustic Revive RD-3 Disc Demagnetizer and RIO-5 II Negative Ion Generator worked remarkably well with quality components. And they’re staying right here....." Mike Silverton, Ultra Audio
"...It makes CDs and Hybrids sound more musical …noticeably and definitively more musical. Plus, its incredibly sharp to look at and fun to use taking only 28 seconds to work. This is the "chip shot" accessory for curing digititus and emphasizing textures and depth in your favorite digital media...." Robert Levi, Positive Feedback Online
"...Treating the CD with the RIO-5 II Tourmaline based natural negative Ion Generator makes everything totally relaxed and organic..." - Joe Cohen, The Lotus Group
"...Having talked to Joe Cohen and read the Silverton review, I’m not sure what I was expecting. Maybe a slight improvement, possibly nothing. From the first few bars of “I Miss You,” from the Badfinger disc, it was apparent to me that I seriously underestimated the RIO, largely because of the difficult-to-confirm claims made by Acoustic Revive. Pete Ham’s warm, smooth tenor was now more present and alive than I had ever heard from this particular disc. The song is recorded very well, and even untreated the disc reveals the studio space in which Ham is singing quite effectively. After RIOing, though, the space was much more clearly delineated, and Ham’s voice was edged more clearly and cleanly, while paradoxically gaining in warmth and naturalness.
The same things held true for all the other discs I treated. The RIO has an uncanny ability to reveal the a particulars of the performance space, which was very much in evidence on the Nirvana disc. Curt Cobain’s voice gained clarity, texture, and warmth, while the space of the venue was, again, much more clearly specified. Dimensionality improved as well, voices and guitars taking on a resonance and shimmer I simply didn’t hear without the RIO..." User Quint, AudioAsylum
Characteristics of Tourmaline
Tourmaline is widely known to contain a small electric current (0.06mA). Tourmaline has been reported to help improve the water quality, release infrared rays and other effects. One of the effects Acoustic Revive payed attention to is that tourmaline releases negative ions naturally. Natural negative ions are smaller in size ( 10000/1 smaller) than negative ions produced electrically. Natural negative ions penetrate the human body and other material more efficiently, compared with electrically made negative ions.
Efficiency to release Negative Ion
We at ACOUSTIC REVIVE took a notice that tourmaline releases negative ion efficiently reacting from light, heat, vibration and other external stress. We succeeded in releasing natural negative ions efficiently from tourmaline by using a halogen lamp's rays and heat. We enhanced this effect further by using electric fans. For a tourmaline catalyst, the RIO-5 II uses the newly formulated balls which contain various ores to make sure the RIO-5 II releases the maximum amount of natural negative ions
Listing room acoustics improve
Place the RIO-5 II in your listing room. Once you switch it on, the natural negative ions are released by the halogen lamps rays and heat. This ion activity will also purifiy the air in the room. According to Acoustic Revive the result is sound waves travel the room well and sound improves remarkably.

CD & DVD sound and picture quality improves dramatically
RIO-5 II feature is epoch-making, because by treating CD, CD-R, SACD and DVD will dramatically improve the sound and picture quality.
How to Use The RIO-5II
Place the CD and DVD etc. on top of RIO-5 II, and press the red button. This will run the electric fan for 14 seconds, which will bombard the surface with natural negative ions on to the disc. By using the RIO-5 II, it improves S/N ratio and dynamic range. All instrument and vocals become vivid and sounds fresh. On the picture, it gives depth and excellent color contrast. .
