Nuforce MCH-3SE 7

Amazing. For the same price as a pair of Ref9 V2 SE monoblocks, you can have 7 channels of 9V2 SE performance with TWO power supplies, all in one chassis. NuForce’s MCH Home-Theater Series defines state-of-the-art multi-channel analog switching amplifiers. You will be astonished by the power these low-profile (3.5-inch tall) components deliver: explosive dynamics and superb bass control for surround-sound home theater, and for two-channel listening, the rich, exquisitely detailed sound that has earned NuForce its enviable reputation among audiophiles and reviewers.

Product Detail

Nuforce MCH-3SE 7 x 300 watt amplifier

Heavyweight performance in a Supermodel body...

Unlike linear amplifiers, which, even at idle, consume a great deal of power, the power-conservative Nuforce MCH Series provides instantaneous clout when and where it’s required. The Nuforce MCH-3 SE and MCH-3 offer a power reserve of 1200 watts; in effect, any of seven channels can be driven up to 300 watts into 4 ohms so long as total power requirements do not exceed 1200 watts. The MCH-2’s 600-watt total operates as a 200-watt-per-channel stereo amplifier with full home-theater capability.

All models in the MCH Series feature XLR inputs along with RCA inputs which can be individually trimmed for precise channel matching as well as proprietary five-way binding posts with extremely low insertion loss.

Nuforce MCH-3SE NuForce’s MCH Home-Theater Series defines state-of-the-art multi-channel analog switching amplifiers.

Based on technology we developed for our Reference 9V2 SE (Special Edition) amplifier, the Nuforce MCH-3 SE stands as the perfect marriage of home theater and music. You can switch the channels on and off independently, for easy and efficient 2 channel listening. There are also two power supplies in the MCH-3SE. Effectively giving you 2 monoblock amplifiers for stereo listening, and extra power for home theater enjoyment. Another of the MCH 3 SE’s features is a program that performs a diagnostic drill every time the unit is powered up.

Unlike massive solid state amplifiers, which, even at idle, consume a great deal of power and generate much heat, the power-conservative Nuforce MCH uses very little power at idle, but can provide instantaneous power when and where it’s required while remaining relatively cool. The MCH-3 SE and MCH-3 offer a power reserve of 1200 watts; in effect, any of seven channels can be driven up to 300 watts into 4 ohms so long as total power requirements do not exceed 1200 watts.

Differences between the Nuforce MCH-3SE and Ref 9V2SE:
Very briefly, the Ref 9V2SE has its own dedicated SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) and uses top of the line connectors and wiring. All of the signal wires (in and out) are soldered in place. The Ref 9V2SE is for the audiophile who seeks pure and raw performance. MCH-3SE offers near SE class performance with ease of service (all the modules can be replaced without soldering). MCH-3SE has a dual SMPS shared by all 7 channels. When operating in 2 channel mode, using 2 amp modules, you can achieve 95% of the performance of the Ref 9V2SE.
