Stereovox Studio Series
The STUDIO line brings Stereovox's legendary performance into pristine reach with a "Performance First" approach that won't break the bank. These products have been tailored to deliver outstanding price-to-performance ratio for music lovers of all pursuasions.
The Stereovox Studio interconnects are built from runs of hollow, tubular copper conductors for signal delivery (microtubes), each one discretely shielded and insulated with a PTFE dialectric. They are terminated to Xhadow Reference RCAs in the ISC method. ISC stands for Intimately Stressed Contact, and it simply means that the signal wire and the connector it is attached to are not only in electrical contact with one another – but that they are contacting one another under extremely high stress. This guarantees that the connection, or “joint,” is a perfect one before any solder is applied. Thereafter, solder is applied to create a hermetic seal – never to act as an electrical bridge between wire and connector.
The "microtube" feature of the Stereovox Studio cable gives the conductor the skin profile of a 32 AWG conductor while maintaining the lower resistance of a larger gauge. This permits the Studio to perform with the agility and grace of thin-conductors without suffering from their high resistance - and yet it is also a monocoque product that won't suffer from problems associated with stranded and "litz" designs that have purported to solve the "skin-depth vs. resistance" challenge.
