LSA Tube Hybrid Integrated Amplifiers
When Music is the Objective, Not the Equipment...
In 2005, the LSA Group purchased DK Design Group and their reknowned Reference line of tube hybrid integrated amplifiers. Now, bearing the LSA Group logo and benefiting from the design acumen of LSA's VP of Engineering, John Tucker, they offer their amplifiers in Standard, Signature and Statement editions.
Below you will find some key information on the features of the LSA integrateds, as well as the differences that separate the three models:
 LSA Standard Tube Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
- Standard Features
- 4 inputs, including 1 XLR and phono. Phono can be used as another Aux input
- 77 lb. weight
- All units put through rigorous QC testing and tube upgrade in the U.S. and “birth
certificate” issued.
- Power consumption
- Standby – 1 watt
- On but not playing – 108 watts
- Full power – 600 watts
- Vacuum tube preamplifier section
- No charge upgrade from factory tubes to Electroharmonix 6922 new stock
- No charge upgrade of factory volume control to unit that is more linear and
transparent
- Cardas bypass capacitor added to the coupling cap between the preamp and amp
sections
- Variable line out for connection of powered subwoofers
- High quality regulation in preamp and amp sections
- Provides well known sonic benefits of using a tube preamp with a solid state amp
- Solid state amplifier section
- Very robust 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms

LSA Signature Tube Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
- Install active tube load circuit for cathode follower section of preamp
- High voltage current regulator that controls current going through the tubes resulting
in high impedance, high bandwidth load to tubes
- Lowers distortion of the tubes; enables them to operate more linearly
- Eliminates current variations in tubes, allowing lower current going to tubes, thus
increasing their lifespan
- Upgrade all capacitors in preamp section to Auricaps
- Upgrade all resistors in preamp section from carbon film to metal film
- Upgrade wiring from amplifier section to speaker terminals to SuperKonductor monocrystal

- Hand solder SuperKonductor at speaker terminals vs. speaker terminal blocks
- Upgrade volume control
LSA Statement Tube Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
- All of the Signature mods plus:
- Add circuitry to achieve dual mono operation in preamp and amp sections
- Add circuitry to increase current regulation in preamp and amp sections
- Add an inductor to high voltage power supply, providing cleaner power to the tubes
- Upgrade amplifier feedback loop parts
- Upgrade internal wiring from board to volume pot and volume pot to preamp with SuperKonductor
