The Wireworld Gold Eclipse 6 interconnect features Ohno Continuous Cast Silver conductors, Composite Dialectric Technology, Silver Tube connectors, and the DNA Helix geometry. The Gold Eclipse 6 is sonically closer the Platinum Eclipse than any other Wireworld cable..
Gold Eclipse 6 Metallurgy
The Gold Eclipse 6 series interconnect cables are comprised of Ohno Continuous Cast Silver. 99.99997% (6N) pure.
Silver Tube Connectors
As impressive as gold plated connectors may look, they are not a reliable indicator of quality in cables. Most gold-plated plugs are made of brass, which is then plated with nickel and a thin layer of gold. Brass and nickel are very poor conductors that introduce significant signal loss at the points of contact. The Gold Eclipse 6 utilizes tubular silver-clad OFC contacts and a silicone rubber tension band, which produce the lowest contact resistance available, these state-of-the-art connectors make dramatic improvements in sound and image quality.
Wireworld Composite Dialectric Technology
The Gold Eclipse interconnect also utilizes a new innovation called Composite Dielectric Technology, which utilizes a proprietary mixture of specialized materials to minimize noise and dielectric interaction more effectively than any conventional insulation material. CDT improves low-level resolution, focus and micro-dynamics to levels beyond the capability of conventional insulation materials.
DNA Helix Geometry
WireWorld’s DNA™ cables have optimally engineered, closely-spaced conductors, which provide dramatic improvements in the preservation of harmonic structure, three-dimensionality and dynamics.
