The form factor of the Audio Hungary Qualiton A75 tube integrated amplifier is quite simple, even modest. But the beauty lies within, both mechanically and sonically. By mechanical beauty I mean this modest sized but heavy integrated is extremely well constructed. Premium parts populate the many internal circuit boards that are laid out in layers, and optimized for low noise. One peak inside and you know this is a quality component.
Sonics
The A75i possesses excellent, dense, smooth midrange, excellent vocals, and fantastic resolution.
Spatially, the sound is pure, open, full of air upper range, with bass that is a touch soft, colorful, and well defined.
Contrary to expectations, the A75i is also high energy. With enough intensity in the midrange to deliver not only jazz but also rock and blues vocals in a very dynamic and intoxicating way. Acoustic instruments are also presented as lively, natural and capturing the airspace around them.
The output of the Qualiton A75 is enough to drive many loudspeakers. Not just the ones designed for tube amps. In summary, with the A75i you will get a coherent, natural, but also energetic, highly engaging presentation.
