The Evo DAC is designed to connect directly to the Evo using the I2S connection offered on both devices. It also has S/PDIF coaxial and optical inputs to allow connection to other digital devices. The DAC will process any streaming audio signal up to 192 kHz  32 Bit resolution. Further, this DAC can be powered simultaneously by the Evo Supply above for noiseless power. The DAC is auto-rate detecting and once you load the specially written M2Tech WASAPI drivers into your PC or MAC, the product works seamlessly, regardless of changing sample rates or word lengths (bits). The front panel display shows the current sample rate on a row of LED’s. Switching between 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz base rates (CD or DVD) is done with a toggle switch on the front panel.
Polypropylene capacitors and a low noise, low distortion op amp on the output buffer exalts the performance of the conversion IC. A modular system, based on an Evo DAC, an Evo and an Evo Supply makes for a very high end digital to analog converter at an affordable price.
