About the Word Clock InputThe Evo clock input is for a master clock that needs to be either 22.5792MHz or 24.576MHz. In addition, the source must be able to produce 3.3V on a 75 Ohm load. It's all indicated in the user manual that every user should download. Unfortunately, the word clock output on the Esoteric can't be used with the Evo.

Based on the same technology as the hiFace, but with many improvements. The Evo is housed in a nice brushed aluminum chassis (105 x 100 x 46mm), with a B-type female USB connector.

Power Supply Options

The Evo comes to Stock with a 9 volt linear wall-wart type power supply to US customers. Upgrading the power supply will yield significant improvements in the performance of the Evo. Below are a few of our recommendations

• M2Tech now makes a battery power supply for the Evo. It has the same form factor as the Evo itself, and works great.
• We use and highly recommend the 9 volt power supply from Bolder Cable
• Acopian Gold Box power supplies are very durable, and have great specs. You will need to hard wire a power cord to the Acopian supply. Cost is about $120
• Lithium Ion Batteries are also a good option. The only drawback is charging. You have to make sure to not let the battery drain completely before recharging it, otherwise you will ruin the battery.

• direct I2S output with 3.3V interface. All outputs (except I2S) are transformer-decoupled to avoid ground noise and EMI interference. Three leds indicate power, data stream in input and external clock presence.
