The Luxman DA-200 is a state-of-the-art digital control center featuring a superlative 24-bit/96kHz DAC with two line level analog inputs, two S/PDIF digital inputs, and a dedicated 24-bit/96kHz USB input to support Mac and PC audio. The Luxman DA-200 processes a warm yet tonally correct sound, with the ability to retrieve every detail - the message of a live performance will seamlessly immerse you in any musical recording.
The DA-200 is essentially the DAC section from the D-05. It incorporates a Burr-Brown PCM1792A DAC and adopts asynchronous data processing using a sample rate converter, an effective means of eliminating clock jitter inherent in digital source components and computers. The Class A differential audio output stage then feeds a low impedance preamplifier with user-switchable fixed/variable XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) outputs. A built-in headphone amplifier of the highest caliber drives a wide variety of headphones. All peripheral circuits of the DAC and the analog output stage compares well to the sonic virtues of the outstanding D-05 SACD/CD player. Luxman's typical round-pattern printed circuit boards, spiral-wrap shielded internal wiring and custom parts further enhance the sonic performance of the DA-200. The front panel display screen has a 7-segment LED indicator that monitors all input and output sampling frequencies in real time.
