Oppo DVD players are well known for their excellent video performance, and outstanding (but less than audiophile) audio performance. Nuforce has managed through their extensive mods to maintain the excellent video performance of the Oppo BDP-93 while significantly enhancing the audio performance. By replacing the analog output circuit board with a proprietary design, the 93NXE delivers the highest possible levels of the natural, beautiful sound. We are very confident you'll agree that the NuForce BDP-93 Xtreme Edition equals or exceeds the performance of the world’s best digital audio disc players.
The Blu-Ray Player with Everything You Need
This player has everything. It's a network player that lets you instantly watch streaming Netflix or Blockbuster On Demand movies via the Internet and your Netflix or Blockbuster membership. You can also connect your USB or eSATA drive for even more AV content. The built-in WiFi N-adapter gives you wireless access to content on your home network, and there's an Ethernet connection, too. It even supports the new 3D specs.
The Mods
The BDP-93 Extreme Edition features all of the upgrades of the BDP-93 Nuforce addition, and adds a sophisticated clocking scheme to suppress jitter for all eight channels. An ultra-stable VCXO generates an audio clock that is completely asynchronous from the transport's clock. The result is a theoretical jitter specification of < 3ps (RMS)(PCM data only) – jitter so low that our test equipment cannot measure it. Other mods include:
