Tube Friendly

The Episode is perfect for those with low to moderately powered amplifiers. The stable impedance makes them easy to drive, and the 91dB efficiency helps to keep your amplifiers happy. The addition of the Murata super tweeter gives instruments and vocals a deeper harmonic tone and lends more air to the presentation without adding any harshness whatsoever. Ideal for smaller and moderately sized rooms.

Directly Coupled Midrange

A two way design utilizing Reference 3A's own directly coupled (no crossover) hyper exponential 8" (20 cm.) woven carbon-fiber main driver, superb 1" (24mm.) soft textile dome tweeter and a gold coated fine ceramic super high frequency exciter from Murata.

The front baffle is tilted back at a critical angle and the drivers are positioned precisely for correct time alignment and sound wave propagation.

Cabinet panels are constructed with varying thicknesses of 1½" (39mm. to 1" (25 mm.) to drastically reduce resonances.

Highest quality components with very advanced technologies are used for enhanced refinement (Bybee Quantum Purifiers, Mundorf silver capacitors, Murata super tweeters and AVM fluid, Van den Hul wires, etc…).

Higher efficiency and very easy impedance loads provide compatibility with virtually any amplifier.
