The floorstanding V1.5 uses the same tweeter and midbass drivers found in the B1, K1, and Giya loudspeakers in a slim, floorstanding enclosure. The drivers are time aligned, with the D26 tweeter sitting within a waveguide. The waveguide also controls directivity, the end result is spectacular imaging.

The V1.5 is suitable for small to moderate sized rooms, and can be powered by modest tube electronics to substantial solid state amplifiers. The speaker is easy to drive and will deliver whatever signal it is given with utmost clarity and neutrality. The 22 liter enclosure is suitable close to walls or free-field, meaning it will work in many types of rooms and please many significant others' sense of decor. One caveat, the Vivid V 1.5 is not a "child friendly" speaker. The drivers are delicate, it will dent quite easily with a careless prodding from a finger, and they do not tolerate direct hits from Nerf darts either...

The sleek and modern enclosure of the V1.5 is bonded to a stainless steel reinforced resin pedistal that gracefully complements the curves of the enclosure while concealing the twin sets of Van den Hul cabling. External connection is made through four high quality WBT terminals discreetly recessed into the heavy cast resin base. We have found it best to use loudspeaker cables terminated with banana plugs.
