"Again and again, I have been startled by the total absence of any cues that would identify the speaker cabinets as the sources of the sound, which seemed to flow from empty space. Soundstaging was an absolute marvel through the G3s...."- Soundstage 2013

"The G3 also did something else that I've heard only the G2 do as well -- it went from whisper quiet to wall-breaking loud in an instant without losing composure. Vivid's Giya G2 and now the G3 are the most effortless- and transparent-sounding speakers I've ever heard..." - Soundstage 2012
"I have owned B&W, Wilson, Sonus Faber and Magico in my 30 + years as an audiophile. All of them were lovely in their own way, but also left me wanting just a little more. My new G3's are the first speakers I have owned that do everything right, I am finally able to get beyond the electronics and the search for "more". I just enjoy my music. Thank you Mike."
"When I first saw the Vivid G3's, I was intrigued by the shape, and the story behind the speakers. Then I listened. I sat in stunned silence, and could not believe a speaker of this size could produce such sound. Every muical genre we threw at it, and at every volume level, the G3's produced glorious sound. This is the first speaker I could listen to for hours on end at such volumes and not get tired. I just wanted to keep listening."
The smaller profile loudspeaker delivers nearly all the performance of the larger Giyas, but in a more compact size. Expect stunning, electrostatic speed, holographic resolution with a bottom end that delivers exceptional clarity, weight and dynamics.
G3 Giya Overview
Enclosing a volume of just over one quarter that of the G1, the G3 is the answer to those seeking the purity of reproduction of the Giya series in a package which is easily accomodated in to the more typical home environment.
"...Vivid Audio is now making some of the world’s best-sounding loudspeakers, and no one who’s serious about state-of-the-art sound should ignore them. I speak from experience when I say that, when shopping for hi-fi components to reproduce the sound of recordings in the best way possible, ignorance is definitely not bliss..."
A pair of newly developed bass drivers (2 per loudspeaker) lay the foundation on which this, the smallest member of the Giya family is built. Retaining the motor structure and suspension profiles of the larger siblings, the side firing C135 bass drivers are well capable of producing substantial bass energy despite its smaller diameter. The top of the bass enclosure displays the now uniquely familiar curl of the tapered tube absorber used to completely eliminate the top to bottom resonances and deliver sharp, accurate bass.
In every other frequency band the G3 is virtually identical in performance to the G1 and G2: The C125 alloy cone handles the low-mid frequencies while the D50 and D26 catenary dome drivers cover the mids and highs respectively with each being rear loaded with independent exponential horns. In a departure from the design tradition of the other models, the G3 proudly witnesses each of these absorber horns with the low mid horn linking round to the bass absorber horn in a graceful loop which is spanned by the two smaller tubes of the mid and high frequency drivers. Despite its diminutive size, the G3 is a very worthy addition to the Giya family of loudspeakers. Read More about Vivid's tapered tube loading.
