Rhodium Plated Pure Copper Contacts
Of course everyone would love to make pure-copper receptacles, but its malleability –lack of stiffness –makes pure copper a poor choice. That’s why you’ll find phosphor bronze or brass in some receptacles. Furutech’s intense engineering scrutiny has resulted in an industry-first, a technique allowing them to use special rhodium-plated a (Alpha) pure copper conductors strengthened and sprung by their innovative nonmagnetic Stainless Steel Conductor Spring System that keeps a firm grip yet won’t damage male connector blades or their plated surfaces. Even the screw-down pressure plates are curved to maximize contact area. The GTX series Audiophle AC receptacles can hold any power cord firmly in place.
The GTX-D R offers up neutrality, transparency and speed without adding grain, edginess or grit. So often plated receptacles have a sonic glare or sheen to them that makes them unlistenable after a few minutes. Not so here. We recommend the GTX-D R for tube systems, and for plugging in gear that is neutral to slightly warm in character.

- WA Quantum Power Chip - Opens up the sound and reveals microdetails. a Power Chip is added the back of the GTX. We can add it for you, just select the option from the list of Recommended Tweeks above.
- Stillpoints ERS - a small 3" strip of ERS tape is added to the back of the Furutech GTX-D R. Stillpoints ERS reduces RFI. The end result is a lower noise floor. But perhaps the most interesting benefit is the music has a more relaxed and organic quality to it. Best $5 you'll ever spend!
- Furutech GTX Wall Plate - Obviously we can't preconfigure this option, but it's a great way to enhance the performance of your tweeked out GTX AC receptacle.
