Blog: Simple, Effective & Inexpensive Ways To Improve Your Streaming Experience

LEEDH Processing Lossless Volume Control

LUMIN users now have the option to use (at no additional cost) Leedh Processing Volume Control instead of the default processing algorithm.

LEEDH Processing is an innovative new digital volume adjustment algorithm that eliminates rounding errors. It Modifies the digital signal amplitude exactly, without any changes to its shape and free from any kind of information loss, and uses more efficient whole number volume values to maintain audio information integrity during subsequent DAC conversion. If you are using a Lumin streamer DAC as your source for music, you no longer need a preamplifier, extra interconnects and cabling (not to mention distortion and noise). All you need is the streamer/DAC like the X1 or T2, and the Lumin Amp. Less is indeed more.

LEEDH processing requires very little processing power, freeing up cpu resources for the streamer and DAC operation. Not to mention it greatly improves the quality of the signal going into your amp.

Leedh Processing is an innovation of Gilles Millot of Acoustical Beauty, a French manufacturer of high end loudspeakers who already holds several patents for his innovative designs and technologies.

This is the first redesign of the classic A1/T1 main boards and chassis. The Lumin T2 sports Dual ES9028PRO DAC chips, the same processors and FPGA as the flagship X1, as well as an analog output stage and clocking system derived from the X1. This is the sweet spot in the Lumin line, make no mistake.

The look is now more in line with the Lumin High end products too. It is rumored that it surpasses the S1 in sound quality.

"All that midband detail is quite a thing to hear. Feel by Robbie Williams showed eerily realistic opening piano work, the notes having wonderfully natural reverb tails. His vocal work here really pushes his voice to the limits of its range, with those famous expressions and inflections that set his style apart. The T2 resolved all of this so well. Nothing is hidden, blurred or occluded – rather, it's laid out plainly for all to hear in a natural, organic way. The midrange is well lit, but it doesn't dominate the proceedings and simply makes the LUMÏN sound fresh and expressive. You're left basking in all that resolution, rather than trying to pick out details from behind the haze." - StereoNet
