Shipping and Returns
How will my order ship?
We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible. We primarily use Fedex Home Delivery & USPS Priority/Global Express, for package tracking methods. And, have established strong relationships with some of the best delivery companies nationwide. Every product on our site has been carefully selected to ship by a particular shipping method in order to provide you with an optimal delivery experience.
When your order ships we will notify you via email. Included in your email will be a tracking number for your shipment. We encourage you to track your package online or on the phone with the carrier. Most companies can provide an estimated delivery date. Be sure to contact us if anything seems unusual with the progress of the shipment.
Shipping Small Parcel
Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via Fedex Home Delivery or USPS. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping available for many items we sell. Depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse, your item will arrive between 1 and 6 business days after it leaves the warehouse.
Some items will require a signature for delivery, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is available to you if you note it within the order comment field. If you want an item left at your doorstep without the signature, it is your responsibility.
Truck Freight - Back of Truck
Many items we sell are too large or too heavy to ship using a Small Parcel carrier. Therefore, our best option is to ship it to you using a common carrier. Truck freight is different than standard UPS or US Postal Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going). Truck Freight also differs from Small Parcel in that, for residential deliveries, you will be contacted by the shipping carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Most companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you must inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem. It never hurts to snap some photos of the item as it arrived as well.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.
Truck Freight Threshold
This method is just like "Truck Freight - Back of Truck" (see above), only the truck freight company will deliver your order to the threshold if yours is a residential delivery (this means to your garage or front door), or to the loading dock if yours is a commercial delivery. Unfortunately, they are not authorized to perform any assembly services nor can they put it in the room of your choice. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to arrange for any additional services that you would like. You will be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for these additional services.
Heavy furniture or furniture that contains a lot of glass will ship by freight truck to protect the item from damage. In the case where an item ships via freight truck, you will get an email from us with a PRO tracking number, along with the shipper's contact information.. The freight company will call you at the phone number listed on your order before delivery to arrange an agreeable delivery date and time. In the case of freight truck delivery, the “free shipping” includes delivery to your home or office, but does not include “inside” or "lift gate" delivery. Please contact us if you’d like “inside delivery” or "lift gate" delivery and we will be happy to set this up with the freight company. There is usually a $100.00 to $150.00 charge for inside or lift gate delivery depending on the freight carrier. If you live on a second floor or other upper lever floor, the charge may be greater. We will contact the freight carrier for a specific amount if you wish to have this service.
How long after placing my order will my package ship?
Most in-stock items ship within 1-3 business days of order processing. To be more specific, orders placed before 12:00 noon MST Monday – Friday are processed the same day that the order is placed. Those orders are sent to the shipping warehouse the same day (Monday through Friday) and most are shipped within 24 hours of processing. Orders received after 12:00 noon MST will be processed before 8:00am the following business day (excluding weekends).TweekGeek.com will make every effort to meet shipping deadlines.
Occasionally orders may be delayed by unforeseen circumstances or difficulties. Due to extensive inventories and availability, many items drop-ship to our customers directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses. In some cases shipment of those orders may be delayed. Will you ship to an address that is not my home address?
Yes, we certainly will. However, if there is any indication that a credit card is being used without consent of the cardholder, we will verify with the cardholder that the purchase is authorized before shipment. If an order is held for this reason, there will be a note inside of your account indicating that there is a problem verifying the order.
Do you ship outside of the continental United States?
Yes, we do ship some products outside the continental US. We live in an International world, but orders for international shipments do take longer. We have NO control over the package or time once it leaves our warehouse. So please be patient as it takes time for your order to go around the globe. We do not accept International Credit Cards.
Will the return shipping be Free if I need to return an item?
If you decide you want to return a non-defective item the return shipping charge will be paid by you. For this reason it is best to be certain that the item that you choose to purchase is something that you are sure that you want. We certainly don't want you to be disappointed in your purchase from us and, if you like, we will help you choose the item that will best fill your needs and desires, and of course there is our in-home audition program. FREE SHIPPING - Valid in Continental US Only
Items marked FREE Shipping on the product page will ship for free! Pretty simple, we know.
Be aware that when our system detects a FREE Shipping item it switches mode of shipping that each item is individually shipped. Our usual way of shipping is to total the weight of all items and the Fedex or USPS gateway then calculates one shipping cost (all items going into a single box). Roughly translates into if you order one item with FREE Shipping and one regular item (Standard shipping) you are fine on shipping cost. If you order one FREE Shipping item and two or more standard shipping items the price for shipping will be much more expensive. It is best to place two separate orders in this case- one order with Free Shipping & second order with two with standard items.
However, International, Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories customers are not eligible for the FREE Shipping offer. We won’t surprise you with any hidden charges or handling fees. The price you see in the shopping cart is the price you pay, with one exception: if you are shipping an order to Colorado we are required to charge 8.25% sales tax.
One last bit on the FREE Shipping- our system uses Fedex in displaying the free option. But, we might ship the product via USPS. Most cases it will ship Fedex - in either case you will receive a tracking number.
Since 2003 Tweek Geek has backed all items that we sell. If the product you have purchased is not right for you, or is defective let us know. We strive to find the right product for your unique situation. We will work with you to find a sound solution recommend what product will resolve your issue. That being said, we will credit, refund, or exchange any NEW or DEFECTIVE non-special order product you purchase within 30 days of your purchase.
There will be a 20% restocking fee for all special order items. These are items that are build to order or flagged as Special Order on the product web page.
Regarding Used & Demo items
All items listed on the demo and used page are sold without warranty unless otherwise stated and are non-refundable for cash unless otherwise specified. Store credit is possible if you are not satisfied with the purchase.
Returning Your Items: Requirements
Two Important Conditions for a "Happy" return:
1. We will need to receive the original box, manuals, and any materials that came with the product in order for you to receive a full refund- with no re-stocking charges. The item/product must still be in like-new condition or in the case of defective merchandise, the condition it was received in.
2. If the item had Free Shipping and you are returning a non-defective product, the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total that will be refunded back.
Shipping and handling charges cannot be reimbursed unless it is our mistake. Yes, we can make mistakes – not often, but it can happen.
Initiating a Return From Your My Account Page
You can initiate the return process by accessing your past order from your “My Account” area. You can select to return an item from a recent order. You will be asked select which items in the order are to be returned, the reason for the return, their desired outcome (exchange, store credit, refund), and any additional comments they may want to include.
Initiating Returns If You Don't Have An Account
- Call or email us - Tell us your order number, what you would like to return & Why.
- Wait for our reply - We will respond within 24 hours with instructions for returning your item (s)
- Send the items back - Once we receive the items and inspect them, we will fulfill your return request by refunding you the appropriate amount or issuing store credit.
In the case of refunds, we will process your refund once we receive the item back and have inspected it. We do our best to inspect returned items within 24 hours of receiving them. If the returned item fulfills our requirements (see above), you should receive a full refund within 10 business days of when we receive the item back from you.
